Baking with coconut flour is as easy as wheat! It can be directly substituted in most recipes with less than a third of the typical amount of grain flour, and it imparts a subtle hint of coconut flavor to biscuits, cakes, and pies for a taste of savory sweetness that’s sugar-free and non-GMO.
Gluten allergies make for some tough choices when food shopping. Bread, pastries, cookies, and anything made with wheat flour or grains is off the table, but what if you could know the sweet comfort of baked goods again? What if there was a flour made of something besides wheat – say… coconuts for example? Well, we have that! Milliard Organic Coconut Flour has no wheat because it’s full of powdered coconut, which is gluten-free! Go ahead and bake muffins, fry pancakes, thicken gravy and sauces, and make your kitchen whole again!
What if you don’t have a gluten allergy? Well, then you’re very lucky, but coconut flour could still be your answer to better health. The empty calories and mounds of carbohydrates in grains aren’t doing your blood sugar any favors, and the increased protein and fiber content in coconut flour as compared to wheat might be just what you need in your diet. It’s no wonder that ketogenic and vegan diets regularly swap out traditional wheat flour for coconut flour.
