About our Organic Buckwheat Flour:
It’s not a grain? No it’s not, buckwheat groats are actually the seed of a fruit! This triangular seed is not even related to wheat, making it gluten free! It is also a complete protein with all 9 essential amino acids.
While the name of buckwheat contains the word “wheat,” buckwheat isn’t related to wheat at all. Instead, buckwheat is the nutrient-dense seed of a plant that is related to rhubarb. Its fibers and proteins make baked goods fluffy and delicious, not to mention nutritious! It is a great replacement for recipes that use other flours that contain gluten.
¼ cup of Anthony’s Organic Buckwheat Flour contains 3 grams of dietary fiber. The type in buckwheat is “resistant fiber,” which is a kind that can be particularly beneficial for digestion, blood sugar, and even food cravings.
Great Source of Protein
¼ cup of Anthony’s Organic Buckwheat Flour has 4 grams of protein. The protein makeup of buckwheat includes amino acids that your body needs but can’t make on its own (essential amino acids).
Anthony’s Organic Buckwheat Flour is Batch Tested and Verified Gluten-Free. It’s the perfect substitute for gluten-containing flour.
Great for Vegan Baking
The fibers and proteins in Anthony’s Organic Buckwheat Flour bind with liquids well. This helps to create baked goods that are fluffy even without the use of eggs.
